On your marks, get set kids! It’s time to travel the world!
Parents, caregivers, and teachers, applications for the 2021 Zespri Young and Healthy Virtual Adventure are now open with 20,000 spaces available that are set to fill up fast.
The program – which saw children halve their junk food intake last year – sees kids and their classmates complete healthy challenges and be rewarded with virtual trips to places like Italy, Japan, Peru with superstar tour guides and program ambassadors All Black Ardie Savea and Silver Fern Ameliaranne Ekenasio, who also teach them some history and culture of each destination along the way.
In a world where children are ‘growing up digital’, founder and Mum Kim Harvey developed the virtual six-week program to actively engage kids in a fun way to better both physical and mental wellbeing from an early age. The program has since been integrated into other parts of the curriculum including maths and literacy as well as health and PE.
